The "2023 First Flow Battery Technology Development Forum" hosted by Q-Carbon Material Co., Ltd. was successfully held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center on June 15. During the meeting, Mr. Zhang Guoqiang, Deputy General Manager of Q-Carbon and Dr. Tian Suyun of R & D Center attended the forum. Dr. Tian made a theme report on "Research on the Application of Carbon Composite Materials in Flow Battery Electrodes" and conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges with participating experts.
As one of the electrochemical energy storage technologies, the flow battery has many advantages, such as high safety, long cycle life, recyclable electrolyte, high cost performance in life cycle, environmental friendliness and so on. In recent years, the industrialization and application of flow battery technology has made rapid progress. The world's largest 100-megawatt all-vanadium flow battery energy storage peaking power station and the world's largest megawatt iron-chromium flow battery energy storage demonstration project have successfully put into operation.
Q-Carbon took the lead in building a full-process testing platform for carbon materials in flow batteries. In this exhibition, we brought energy storage related products, including carbon-based composite materials such as battery felt, composite bipolar plate, carbon paper, carbon-carbon sagger and crucible. The exhibition site responded enthusiastically, attracting the attention of industry experts and upstream and downstream enterprises.
